Judith Harrison, Ph.D.

Judith Harrison, Ph.D. is a lifelong learner and educator. She is currently an associate professor in the Educational Psychology department, Special Education Programs, at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Prior to joining the faculty at Rutgers, she taught and counseled students in public schools for 20+ years. Dr. Harrison has published 32 articles, conducted 76 presentations at professional conferences, and co-authored three books, including The Educator’s Guide to ADHD Interventions: Strategies for Grades 5 – 12 published by Taylor and Francis in 2023.

Natasha Dillon

Natasha Dillon is a New Jersey educator and mom with a commitment to establishing positive, inclusive learning environments. She believes in the power of teaching children about the causes of their behavior and strategies for coping with overwhelming emotions. She is currently a Special Education Teacher. She has experience as a teacher in a self-contained Multiple Disabilities class, a third-grade general education class, and an inclusion teacher in Grades K-4. Dillon attended Western Governors University, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and teaching certification in Grades K-6. She went on to earn certification as Teacher of Students with Disabilities from Rutgers University.

Dawn Carlsen

Dawn Carlsen is a mid-life career changer who has found a passion in teaching middle school students. She is particularly interested in a strengths-based approach to supporting students with disabilities as they learn and grow. Dawn has spent many years working as a general education teacher, inclusion teacher, and most recently as a special education teacher of students with multiple disabilities. She earned a master’s degree in Special Education from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and is currently a doctoral student with a concentration in Special Education, also at Rutgers.
